Michael Vitti Memorial Celebration
Date: June 2, 2006
Place: Duke's, nyc
Michael Vitti was the Founder of the Moving Pictures Collective (Mopictive) - the 501(c)3 arm of the New York Final Cut Users Group. A tireless leader and fearless networker - he believed strongly in the power of community to support independent filmmakers and digital storytellers. Michael felt that our new-age "social networking" via the internet should always be supplemented by person-to-person interaction; whether via User Group meetings, discussion panels, or training seminars.
Join the Mopictive Board of Directors, in conjunction with Michael Vitti's parents and siblings, to celebrate the life and spirit of the man who often called himself our Fearless Leader. We are striving to make this a memorable event for everyone who attends.
Event Details:
This celebration is a BBQ-themed feast (with options for vegitarians) featuring music from Michael's iPod, remembrances of Michael, a 4-minute event to celebrate that which Michael did best, and a few other surprises.
Door opens (and eating begins) at 6:30p and the planned events begin at 8p. Cash bar.
Space is limited, we're cutting off RSVP's at 150 people (we're almost filled up) and we'll be checking names from the RSVP list at the door. No walk-ins.
If you can't make the Celebration please reply to this email so we can release your reservation. If you're bringing guests - make sure your RSVP reflects the ticket count.
We look forward to meeting you there!
Sincerely,
Moving Pictures Collective
